Hi guys, I'm at Day 25, here's my roster.







My 2* roster will consist of Ares, Wolverine, and OBW (still levelling them).

There are a number of heroes that I don't like, so I'm gonna prioritise selling them off if I have insufficient roster slots. I generally hate low HP heroes, dislike playing strike/protect tiles, and prefer to play generating AP to use heavy nukes, so...here's my list:

3*
Black Widow (the only thing I could use is her Purple, the remaining 2 skills are too costly)
Daredevil (I would consider this if I could choose where to place the trap tile, but the placement is random)
Loki (just ****)
Psylocke (the only thing I'm impressed by is her Blue which steals a lot of AP)
Ragnarok (the only thing I could use is Red, but it generates 4 random Greens which sucks big time)


2*
Bullseye (low HP)
Captain America (Red has too low damage even though it returns AP; I will use 3* Captain America because it got buffed a lot)
Hawkeye (low HP)
Moonstone (unreliable)
Spider Man (just ****)
Storm (low HP)

My question is, could I be wrong about any of them, taking into account my preferred play style? I need feedback to avoid making more mistakes; I sold a few important covers that I now want

The biggest mistake you are making is disregarding strike tiles gaming. If you dont like strike tiles gaming you are going to have a bad time. Strike tiles are really amazing, cancel out protect tiles, give you more damage, let you double/triple dips with serveral skills. With the way the game work right now, there are about few character that stand out. LazyThor, Patch, Daken3*, Punisher, Hulk and may be the Hood. These character are a must keep. I think you should go read Polarity guide and the character ranking thread if you havent already done so.
Those explain pretty well who you should keep and focus on.

You said you current team is Ares, OBW and Wolverine. Not sure which Wolverine you are talking about, but if it is the astonishing xmen version then i suggest you stop lvling him. You better off investing into Thor Marvel Now. Sure there is a gold version of him but he is still one of the best 2* character. He is tanky and his damage is no joke. Also AI friendly for defense purpose.

Hmm ok...so I'll keep 3* Daken, Magneto, and Falcon, and also 2* Daken for now? And yeah I was referring to 2* Wolverine, mainly because his Red is good.

Cstorm has low hp but otherwise she generates ap and has a heavy nuke + stun. She's amazing especially paired with mn magneto or obw to accelerate ap faster. Or with Thor using yellow to generate green to generate yellow etc especially on desert nodes. Just seems like you would regret not using her based on what you find fun.

This is just me. But once I leveled up my Ares beyond IM35, I sold my IM35 to open up roster space since I no longer use him. Not to mention, if I want to rebuild him later on, it will be super easy, as his covers drop frequently.

You should def keep Magneto. He works awesome with OBW and Lazy Daken for getting your blues in.

Yes, i agree with justdangit, you're making a mistake in disregarding strike tiles, they give good consistent damage throughout the match and also boost ability damage. Play against an OBW with 4 or 5 in black, give her a 3 or 4 strike tiles and watch as she double dips on those strike tiles and does over 1k damage per purple/black/blue match(if she's the strongest in those colors). Seeing as how you're in your 1 to 2 star transition phase i would highly recommend concentrating on just a couple heroes that go well together, CStorm is definitely amazing with MN mags(3/5/5 build is ideal) so he can generate obscene amounts of blue AP for her 1670 AOE and take down a whole team to less than half health if not more. At this stage 4 star legendary's are really nothing but trophies and hardly useful at all until well past level 100. a good support character for anyone is OBW(3/5/5 to keep her recon at a low 8AP) as she can also be your best healer(she's only outclassed by a level 100+ spidey)

Ok i recommend that you stop investing in Wolverine 2*. His red seem good but actually it is quite average. It only look good when comparing to iron man red.

Wolverine is also very squishy. He only have about 3000 health at max level. He is not a good investment. Thor on the other hand is much better and you have more cover in him. At max level, thor have 5340 health, 14 green do 4000 damage, yellow ability that generate tons of green and cascade. Much better than the 2800 damage you get from 12 red of Wolvies.

Simply put, there isn't a red nuke for 2*. The ones that do hefty damage come with drawbacks like countdown tiles or low health or both. You're better off considering red a support colour when compared to green (Thor, Ares or yellow (Ares). If you look at the numbers, 12 AP isn't that much... but you are getting very little help generating those AP, unlike say green. In the time I played wolverine or played against him, I have not seen that red go off very often. Because if push comes to shove and I have him paired with Ares/Thor, I'd rather have a little quick damage via Thor and maybe luck out on a few easier yellow matches to get me what I actually want. Or I'll spread it around nicely via Ares.

If you want to play via heavy nukes only then your team should be Ares/Thor/OBW as everyone else has said, but frankly, you'll probably end up leveling more than these three, since it'll get very tiring only playing the same three characters for the next several months and you might get stuck in a PvE event with a limited roster. You can still level Wolvie, but I'd recommend classic Storm also - they're both squishy but both nice support to your main tank.
