Greg has a cheat with Lotus field [Fixed in 4.0]

Greg doesn’t sacrifice a land when he casts Lotus Field; in fact, when he casts Lotus Field first, it does not self destruct. It stays on the field.

    I think that’s a cast vs summon thing- When hard cast from hand if there is no other land I see it fizzle out- when it comes into play by other means (from Golos etc) it is fetched or summoned to the battlefield, not touching the hand as such, therefore it doesn’t trigger the cast enter the battlefield effect and stays in play.

    its a great way to get a very useful card into the battlefield but takes a bit of getting used to doing it

    I too have seen this behavior with Lotus Field and Golos.
    I have also seen Greg cast it only to have it immediately fizzle and make me laugh.
