Ironroot Warlord does not get buffs

He never got his bonuses, even with a ton of soldiers on the board. My other card on the field was Skyknight Vanguard who also summons solider tokens. 
Furthermore, I also had Finale of Devastation in my deck. I casted it twice, and Ironroot did not get the +8/+8 buff.
The other creatures on the field did.
