I searched this forum and the official notices, I found no clue though: WAR vanguards are WAR cards, right ? If so, why are they (still) not available in WAR packs ? Will they ever be ? Does anyone know ?

At least for the mythic/rare ones. The uncommon are available through packs. This is not very consistent. I'd really like an announcement from the devs.

All Vanguards need to be retroactively put in their sets as plain cards and never ever separated for future sets.

They are a useful addition to the game and more or less implemented ok (balance will grow with practise!) but keeping them out of the sets in their own special bucket has ALWAYS been wrong and an abusive sales tactic.

There was zero reason to ever put a new INTEGRAL part of the game behind a paywall.

It was and remains an abusive business tactic and I'm surprised Wizards haven't told you off about it. The paywall should remain for the optional stuff like full art versions and the like but they are EASIER to get than the basic ones. It's just pure insanity.
If you lay the decisions next to each other they contradict all common sense.
It's easier and cheaper to get a full art version than a regular one.
You can guarantee getting a mythic eventually through non-dupe but you CAN'T guarantee you can collect all the rares ever.

The whole thing is bizarro world.

Hmmm... Actually... Making the rares impossible to collect while the mythics aren't probably breaks the truth in advertising laws in some countries again. Because the mythics are NOT of a higher rarity.

Yeah, the Vanguards being sectioned off is lame, and not making all of them guarantee non-dupe is horrible.
