We are almost a week into Throne of Eldraine being live, which has given us enough time to pull some new cards and make some new decks. I have been finding that changing a creature's base power/toughness is very strong, especially with tokens, and I have found that I enjoy cards that I didn't think I would use much like Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. He is really strong with a spell copy deck. What are some of the cards you guys have pulled that you are really pleased about and what are some of the decks that you have been enjoying the most since the patch? How are you adjusting to new standard?

    My fav ELD cards are (till now):

     

    Harmonious Archon (M) – just because it is like Shrinker gun from Duke Nukem against nasty creatures (Yes I´m looking at you GR)

    Brazen Borrower (M) – Isolate on blue ? For 7 mana ? 5/3 for 8 mana? Yes, thank you.

    Embercleave (M) – Red on stereoids

    Syr Carah, the Bold (R) – Draw card with half of its mana on red

    Midnight Clock (R) – Convert on activated gems + 4 cards with full mana… Mmm Rare ?

    Nearly the same as yours but a bit faster (from my point of view) and I´m big fan of monowalkers…

    1st ability – 12/12 Soldier with Archon (activated gem for destroying hexproof/prevent dmg creatures)

    3rd ability – for destroying activated gems – bring „fresh meat“ + supports on battlefield

    I like a lot of those ideas WulFgaR77. Bloodletter Quill with Vilis is a nice idea. I hadn't thought of it. I really like Elspeth for the Archon too, but I am kind of a slave to Killer Instinct with it as the only creature in my deck. I like that interaction too much.

    Thousand Year Storm is still the undisputed king if you're a Spike. Unfortunate, considering it's at least as tedious as the Cycling decks from Hour of Devastation.

    Finally I have dicovered "new standard" SUICIDE type of deck for Kaya. It is pretty decent but unfortunately quite expensive :( but fun fuN FUN :smile: I hope that game designers bring more type of this cards\decks to the game. Please!

    Kaya, Orzhov Usurper (I love you baby)
    (Don´t worry when you´re losing life !!!)

    2nd ability - just for storng token decks to stabilize board, also bring "food" for Rankle
    3rd ability - primary ability to destroy your opponent and heal yourself

    key cards:
    Altar od Dementia - as card said - bring "food" to the graveyards
    Rankle, Master of Pranks - primary creature destroyer (fill your and opponent graveyard), discard, haste creature
    Clackbridge Troll - "cheap" power creature with haste, minor heal, draw cards !, food for Rankle (24 points for 3rd ability)
    Deadbridge Chant - bring your "food" bact to the board
    Glimpse the Unthinkable - fill your graveyard + increase cost of opponent´s cards

    others:

    Castle Lochtwain -  draw cards !
    Godless Shrine
    Golos, Tireless Pilgrim - alternated card - bring your supports to the board, food for Rankle

    Convert gems - for loyalty and black gems for Glimpse

    How to handle:
    Bring your supports to the board first... then your "food" for Rankle - Golos and Troll.... then
     bring Prankle and smash yor opponent with it and your 3rd ability.

    I enjoy this different mechanic with the rat plague. It can compliment other decks. Too bad the adventure and food mechanics are underwhelming.

    I actually like both of the others. I am waiting for the Exclusive Dragon before I give my final review on Food, because he was clearly made to be the leader of a deck that revolves around it. Unfortunately, I feel that for Food to work, you need to be using something like Primeval Titan and the land that makes the Food tokens, as that is actually the best source of Food production from the set. As for Adventure, I don't actually have all of the Adventure cards, so it has been difficult for me to test all of my deck ideas with it, but of the ones I do have I find that I like them as 2nd tier decks. They aren't my primary power decks, but a green/black deck that uses the green conversion giant + murderous rider + the 7/7 for 9 that needs a creature with base power 1 out (the giant has a base power 1, but buffs himself immensely), is a pretty good deck. My only hesitancy in using it is the whole crash thing going on with conversions and landfalls.
