Got another Survey today

"Do you like MPQ, would you recommend MPQ, what do you like, what do you dislike (pick 3)".

Notably, a lot of the "dislikes" centered on feeling like you weren't progressing fast enough (a number of the options were like "i feel like I can't progress quickly enough towards new 5* heroes ; I can't keep up with 4* releases ; "legendary tokens don't come fast enough" etc). I picked only those related to dilution for my answers.

I believe this is the exact same survey we got last time.

As you all are filling it out, especially the comments section, I ask that you please remember the Anniversary. Their narrative is it was “another success”, and if you agree with that, then by all means ignore this, or let them know you feel they did a great job.

However, if you personally feel this anniversary was anything other than “great”, I would suggest letting them know through the survey, since I’m not sure how much they read these forums anymore. Admittedly, their metrics for success are going to be different than ours, but I feel a mismatching experience in what I’m reading from players pretty much everywhere and what they perceive as successful.

    I was deciding between C & J for question 3. I used to choose C, but I decided go ahead with J. I chose A & L for the 4th question.

The 5th question is an open ended question where you can type in other comments.

*I think my spoiler tag isn't working.*

These two questions are the main ones:

    3. Which of the following do you like most? *

A Playing events where I do not compete against other players (e.g. Cinema Showdowns or 12 days of Marvel)
B Playing Versus events (e.g. Combined Arms or Earth's Mightiest)
C Creating teams that work well together
D Playing Story events (e.g. The Hunt or Cosmic Chaos)
    E Collecting new characters
    F Making my characters stronger
G Playing with my Alliance in events (e.g. Civil War or Avengers vs. Ultron)
    H Something else
    I Deadpool's Daily Quest
    J Playing challenging battles
K Playing Boss events (e.g. Civil War or Galactus Hungers)

    4. Which of the following do you like least? * Make between 1 and 3 choices

A There is not enough Iso-8
B I am tired of playing the same events
C I am tired of fighting the same teams in Versus
DThere is not enough Red Iso-8
E I have nothing to do with all my Iso-8
F I do not feel my rate of progress matches my time investment
G I dislike having to play at very specific times
H The drop rate for 5-star bonus heroes is too low
I There are not enough 3-star characters
    J Something else
K There are too many 4-star characters in cover packs for me to get the character I want
L It is too hard to get the Supports I want
M It is too difficult to participate in events that interest me
N In Versus, I don’t like being attacked by teams much higher level than me

I've chosen this one ever since it was in the surveys and look: this weekend the start times change!

I gave the game a 3 which I think is my lowest ever rating. I noticed this week that I basically have used my MPQ time for other things and so I have barely even bothered with PvE or PvP all that much. I'm hoping this new feature might be a shot in the arm as I like this game but this malaise has been brewing for a while. Maybe it is just the PvE events are so boring and I haven't really been overly bothered by the PvP characters. The Halloween PvP's might be a bit more interesting, I certainly hope so or this feels a bit like a drift to the end of this game for me.

And in a week it'll change again!
Sometimes, I'm a little jealous of players down under, who get two different sets of ending times throughout the year (I think?), and possibly the third one, in between...
As for the survey... There are so many good answers to pick from, I'm pretty sure I haven't been choosing the same ones. In part, it's just my memory but also, it might be I'm secretly hoping if I do something different, something may finally change.

How can I get the survey back?  I opened the game in a hurry to clear my nodes in PVE and quickly dismissed the survey without thinking.  Is there some way to get it back?

^ Yes, go to options (the gears thingy) and choose "today's news". The survey should be at the end.

Click the gears/options in the upper left.  Click the "Today's News" button and you'll get there.

    -----

I find it interesting that they are running this survey just one month after the last one - and the exact same survey.  (I created basically the same thread as this one on September 29.)

But nothing has changed in the game except the Anniversary happened, which had no significant changes to the game, and they announced Targeted Characters with no details.

How much do you think anyone's opinion changed in a month?  I suppose Worthy has become a bit more prevalent in the game, creating a new Skip Team (or team you counter which leaves you vulnerable to other teams).

Maybe....maybe....the Targeted thing is coming very soon and they wanted a snapshot of player concerns just before details are released.  Maybe.

Then they can run ANOTHER survey after Targeted settles in and see what issues move up the list (if any).

    on mobile:
    1. press the "2 gears" icon in the very upper left on the main screen.  This opens the "options" menu
    2. It looks like a static window, but you can drag it to scroll.  Scroll down to the button that says "Today's News"
    3. Click the button.  This will bring up the last 5 or so alerts.  Click through them until you get to the "Please Take this survey"
    On Steam/Amazon:
    1. Dunno.  Try above, if that doesn't work, I can't help you.  I'd say contact customer support, but by the time they respond, the Survey will probably be over.

I hope everyone picks the roster/game progress vs. time spent option, to me that is the primary underlying issue with the entire game - dilution is just one of the symptoms.

Interesting how different we all are.  This is something I have never and will never pick.  Progression-only is always an option for those that want it and I tend to get way more bored in events where we only get progression rewards (unless there is a boss event whose mechanics are interesting).  Otherwise stuff like DDQ, Best in class, etc. bore me to tears.

This is the one I always choose and comment on.  Also mentioned my disappointment with communication, Worthy/Bishop brokenness and the 5* feeder embargo (anniversary in general) as my not listed issues with the game.

Heh, the game has trained us so well by now, that you'd automatically equate "don't play at specific time" with "don't fight for placement, only go for progression". It is possible to have both!
Even with the way everything is set up now, you'd only need to add a way for players to start/set the "end grind" timers and the end of the sub early themselves, and you could do the starting clears at your leisure and rush through end clears when it suits you the most each day/sub. For instance.

Daylight savings here as well (The Netherlands). But I don’t like the ‘new’ times. It’s only for a short time fortunately.

Wouldn’t you still be playing at specific times still? Only difference is you set the times.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a schedule that allows them to play competitively even if they want to. I know a lot of good PVE players who couldn't compete for t10 even though their clear and grind times were much faster than the usual t10 people.
That’s super fair. I just don’t think the solution is to not have timers or remove competition or go progression only. Just because some who would enjoy it can’t, doesn’t mean those who do enjoy it shouldn’t (if that makes sense). Not saying those are your solutions but we’ve all seen them proposed here on the boards.

In an ideal world, if there was a timer that started and stopped at the match’s beginning and end, and points were only available for six clears, then time would become the tiebreaker and one could play at any time the shard was open. Who wouldn’t prefer that? May be a bit confusing, but think about how confusing the timers are for new players anyway.

No, I mean you set those times manualy each sub. If you don't, it ends normally like now. It would let you change your grind times every day/sub even in the same event. You activate the timer, your nodes start refreshing points and your sub ends in X hours. If you don't do it, the timers start X hours before the deadline. Every sub could even last (or be open) for like 48 hours, and they could start staggered, like old The Hunt pve event would, every 24 hours. Or whatever the numbers.
