Quasiduplicate inconsistent [Investigating]

I’ve noticed that Quasiduplicate always creates a copy of my chosen creature but only puts it into play about 80% of the time on the same turn. I only use it one deck, have cast it many many times, and I can’t work out why it sometimes doesn’t put into play my copied creature.
I’m using a three dinosaur/scapespire Sarkhan deck:
Gishath
Ghalta
Etali
Rupture spire
Scapeshift
Deathsprout
Perilous Voyage
Demolish
Thunderhead migration
Quasiduplicate

I have a variation on this with three big dragons and the same thing happens.

Any ideas? Thanks!

You may be casting the jumpstart version from the graveyard. Jumpstart gets cast at the end of turn so the copy does not get cast that turn.. if i remember correctly.

Hi here’s an example of Quasiduplicate copying a card but it doesn’t go into play. The copied card is Gishath (2nd in hand behind a Thunderherd Migration with no mana). I went to attack phase so my in play Gishath died against the opponents Sawtooth instead of being a reinforced 20 hp beast. Didn’t affect the result in this match but it had done in the past.
