Give me a break, D3!

No, I mean literally. Give me a break. I cannot jump into another damn season 5 seconds after the first ends.

At the very least, implement that 80% rule discussed earlier on the forums. Please, for my sanity.

Though I suppose we are looking at the seasons the wrong way. It feels like it should be a "running in the background competition". Then they baited it with Nick Fury. A for Idea, E for Execution if this is the case.

I couldn't agree more... I was hoping for at least a weeks breathing space or more between seasons. This looks like there'll never be any 'Off season' period...

...way to burn out your player base. Was actually gutted when I checked Season 1 rankings and Season 2 popped straight up ... and the first event has Daken as the prize so that PvP is gonna be a bloodbath.

Idea D3: Either have a break between seasons..or make every 2nd Season PvE based instead.
  • Of that kit kat bar?
  • Free KitKat bars. That'll help.
  • D3 is not giving you. Thou you can show them your middle finger and give yourself a break as long as you desire. You should too.

As if people just play on their metric will show they are doing fine and going on is what their players want. Just as we wanted the scaling, removal of guaranteed cover, the death brackets and all the other f...ine stuff.

Yup, what Pasa said. You have to be 'brave' enough to take your own break. You're in control here. You don't have to ask D3 for permission.

Yeah, I've been thinking this is precisely what happened. It was billed as "bonus rewards you don't really even have to try to obtain". Then Fury came along and despite one cover of a 4* being essentially meaningless in the grand scheme of things, people decided they would fight like rabid tinykitties so they and their alliance could obtain it comfortably.

I'm really questioning though how much player's overall level of burntout-ness (now a word, you're welcome) is actually due to seasons or if it's really just due to 1.5+ months of non-stop 2.5 day alliance-reward-based PvP events. Because you want to perform at the top of your game for every event for your alliance (even the top 10 alliances have guys with missing covers of probably every hero), the season stuff just kind of falls into place as the devs intended it. As long as EVERY SINGLE PVP has alliance rewards attached to it (whether seasons or not), people are going to feel pressure to play more and more and get burnt out unless their alliance collectively decides to all take it easier.

How'd that work out for you? Was it even 5 seconds?

I agree, but come on. They're out to make as much money as possible. There's no way they're going to put in vacation times. We're talking about the people who's idea of a reward is a three tenths of one percent chance you might get the cover you want (and we play and play for hours kidding ourselves that next time it won't be another BagMan.)

Or in my case a modern hawkeye -_- haven't bought a pack not even for 100hps since they removed that guarantee icon_e_smile.gif let someone else waste the money. I prefer to shoot for the surefire cover reward anyways. Would hate to buy a pack and get something I already have maxed.

Wait, you don't like investing an hour and a half into Lightning Rounds for almost a one percent chance token? That seems more than fair. Almost like they're giving covers away...
