Possible auto-retreat glitch

This morning, I was playing on my iPad when, mid-battle, I had to quick check something on the internet. I was out of the game for less than two minutes, but when I brought it back up, the game reset to the home screen. (Usually it goes right back to the battle.)

I didn't lose any event points, but all my characters were at half their HP as if I retreated.

Is this something new or did I catch the game in a glitch?

The iPad cleared the game out of memory. The amount of memory required to run whatever you were checking on the internet, plus the amount of memory required to hold MPQ running in the background was above what was available, so it closed MPQ.

I get this randomly too, it's really annoying. Basically wiped my team and I'm out of heals.

I've found that going to the home screen then swapping seems to do it less frequently but it may just be confirmation bias on my part.
