Out Of Season PVP

I can't say I've noticed it too much before in other off season PVP events but in the last class of x events I've noticed that my possible targets seem a better match and I've not hit a wall of gritty + bishop/gamora. Is this because all the other players who would normally use these teams to climb during the season are just taking a break or trying new teams? Although I've only seen a couple of gritty teams I have seen a hell of a lot of Juggs, grocket and gamora. They aren't very high levels but still pack a punch.

Or has mmr been tweaked? Or something completely different?

    You can't really post this without more details....

    I'm at 900 and all I see it Grittyshop or Hammercap/5HE/JJ in slice 5.

    Maybe you're floating lower?

    The broken characters aren't going anywhere.

    Or are you in 4 land?

    Run Hammercap/Rocket/Carol.  laugh at the brokenness.

    Yeah, I'm using mostly 4's and the boosted 3's. non-boosted 4's are sitting at around 278 give or take a few. 

    I did use The Hood a lot in 2013 with Chavez plus a boosted 3* or 4*, could that have helped? But even during a season I could start a run with the Hood and Chavez and have a harder opponent list within the first few matches..
