Cards with the [Stored Mana] ability seem to be immune to mana drain

I was playing a Ral deck that included Absorb and Spell Swindle. My opponent was playing a Jaya deck and his first card in hand was Electrodominance. Both of my mana drain cards did NOT drain the mana from my opponent's Electrodominance card. I think I've seen this behavior before in other matches where I was using mana drain cards and my opponent's first card was a card with stored mana. Please investigate.

That is intentional. Mana cannot be drained or raised on any stored mana card (it says it on the card somewhere)
They changed it a few updates ago1 -
Just checked the information when you press the stored mana icon. You are indeed correct! Thanks. Topic can be closed.1

No problem. I reported the same bug the first time I noticed it. It definitely didn't work like that at first and the change was buried in a patch note somewhere so it's caused a lot of confusion.0
