Confusion - "Legacy" Mythic card bundled with Standard expansion cards?

This morning I saw the Nantuko Monastery bundle that had 2 war of the spark booster packs in it.
Previously, D3 offered the other 3 Legacy/Special Occasion cards in this "set" for $4.99 USD and I was okay with that.
Not sure, this time, then, why D3 would sell a legacy mythical and try to bundle it with current booster packs and the runes/crystals/jewels like that..

@Brigby - May I ask, are these special threshold cards going to be available, later, in a different way?

Being one of the VIP purchasers AND a veteran player, I no longer have need for the booster packs, runes or crystals, really, so this package doesn't appeal to me, whereas the 3 cards were just fine.

I'd love to pay something for the card, but not like that.

When you mention the 3 "set" cards, are you talking about the Deck Starters? We should still have those available for when a new Planeswalker is part of an offer in the vault.

I see the Nantuko Monastery bundle as more along the lines of the Elder Dragon bundles, where you get one Mythic card alongside a bunch of resources.

As for when they will become available again, be it in another offer or in booster packs, I'm not sure since the Threshold cards are part of this "in-between card sets" collection of additional cards. If I hear of any updates though, I'll be sure to let players know.

Yes, but the "Starter set" for Wrenn and Six was 3 new cards that still could only be used for Legacy battles.

The new card, while Mythical, is also only useful in Legacy battles.
The Elder Dragons, when they came out, were useful in Standard battles, at that time.

What I contest is that back when the re-hash of old Mythicals came out, they were, I believe, separate and cost quite a bit less.

It's basically just odd having a Legacy mythical sold in a "new" Mythical package.

And "in-between" cards are "occasional" (D3 created Holiday and special event) cards, not actual sets, so we're only getting them because the D3 team came up with them.

If you could pass on to D3 Business team that I'd happily pay, maybe. $9.99 for a Legacy mythical, by itself, I would appreciate it. They may not pay attention, but since I've (and probably others) also paid for other cards, Planeswalkers in the past as well as the current Master VIP system, maybe they'll understand. ;)
