Can we talk about colour distribution of new releases?

Something I've noticed lately is that on a new release unless you grind or snipe you get stuck colour heavy on the new character.

For example with Human Torch. If you only get one cover for placement reward it was Yellow. Same colour for Alliance placement. What colour is the progression reward in his PVP? Yellow.

Can maybe some thought be put into this so we can end up with a more every covered character? At least the progression reward in the PVE event is green, so my HT will at least have one cover in each colour (I pulled a red from SHIELD Training)

It'd be nice if the placement awards for individual and alliance gave different colours, especially since you only get one from alliance placement, have it be a different colour from the single cover award from personal placement. A perfect example would be since yellow was the PVP progression award have the personal award for the PVE be Green, and the Alliance Award be Red (or swapped or whatever)

*Note this rant at first was going to complain about how the progression cover in Simulator was also yellow, but I double checked and realized it was green instead, so there is that at least. a 1/1/3 is better than a 1/0/4 at least.

100% agree. I have 4 in yellow already but none in red for Torch.  It is silly that all the "easiest" rewards are concentrated on the 3rd color. And yes I did get yellow from Shield Training.

Though as a bonus if you don't get the first color at all, you only need 9 for Shield Training. Great huh?

    It's intentional.
There were a few PVEs years ago where the alliance cover was the one for individual t5.
    That changed almost immediately.

It's designed to pressure you to acquire the missing covers by spending.

It's been this way forever.  It will never change.

It used to annoy me, I was almost always 1/1/4 or something similar. No longer care. They drop when they drop, never using them anyway. If I get to 10 covers great, but I don’t sweat that either. I’m not braking my back or bank to get 10 covers on a useless four star to chase another four star I’m not using.

Artificial scarcity. It's done on purpose to make those covers more valuable, so people will worker harder to chase them.

I guess I knew this deep down. But I can still wish it was otherwise...

I'm using Mysterio as an example because Black Cat was featured in boss event twice.

For alliance reward in all 3 PvEs, each colour appeared once: Y/B/P

    For his progression rewards:

    It's Y(PvP)/B/Y/B.

It can be concluded that his first cover will be awarded to only top competitive players and top alliance. It's kind of fair to those on the top.  B) the rest can get both of his colours.

As you can see, top players can fully cover and champ a new 4* by the third PvE. No pulls needed. The rest have to get lucky or use 120 CP to upgrade his power.

That pressure mostly evaporated when they introduced saved covers though, since it increased the chance that I'd end up with a cover in my queue that I couldn't apply.
