Team-Up Selection Sequence Causes Game Crash

A member of my alliance wanted to be surprised by the Team-Ups being sent. I wanted to accommodate this, but also not send one of the characters with 36 hour patrol times to tie up my queue.

So, I'm navigating around to see patrol times and check a few boost lists and the game crashes. Weird.
Try again, and after the second sequence, game crashes again. Time to find the commonality!

What appears to be the case:
  1. Selecting and unselecting the first character is safe.
  2. Selecting and unselecting the same character again will crash the game.
  3. Any other sequence (such as selecting a second character) will stabilize the game, even if all characters are unselected and a single character is cycled.
  4. If the game is stabilized, exiting out of the selection screen and tapping the send button again will return to the "unstable" state.
