Card filter requires two clicks to enter data after 3.7 update

I thought I would note this issue here.
The update to 3.7 changed the card filtering interface to require a second button press to enter something in the search field.
I would prefer it to be one click. The second click is actually hard to work with.
I use Android and the search field appears below the text field. 
Simply put, this is inefficient.
It was working fine until the update.

Also, when clicking for second time to make the keypad appear, the existing text, if there is any, is no longer highlighted which makes it even more annoying.
