4* Iron Fist/Nova/Star Lord is the dream team against mindless ones

Test it out for yourselves, literally haven't failed with these 3, had iron fist respected at 5/5/3, nova at 5/5/3, and star lord at 5/5/3. full rainbow coverage, strike tile galore, and no powers successfully fired for the enemy team

I see your team and raise you Mysterio, 3* Elektra, Ares  ;)
Oh, wasn't that just the best loaner node ever...

I shiver at the prospect of SL just adding even more countdowns to the Mindless trashfest

The team I always used at the Mindless Ones was Strange (3 or 5), 4* Cage, and whoever was boosted (preferably with a green, black, or purple active).  The Mindless Ones activate so many powers that Cage's protect tiles pretty much protect you from damage and Strange's passive guarantees they pretty much kill themselves.  Honor Among Thieves is fun with that team because you can more or less just "autopilot" through the whole thing for the next three days.

Nice one Marvel075, that is a cracking team! And a whole lot of fun, makes a nice change from my Medusa/Drax/Gr4cket node grind team.

Juggs/Grocket/Gamora with an Ebony Maw support on Juggs so he tanks every color (my 2/3/2 L147 pre-boost) but Yellow.

His AOE just rips the mindless ones to shreds (he double dips on the front character thanks to that AOE). Typically 5-6 matches and they are down, often before they place more than 2 CD's never mind getting one of them to resolve.

Thanos and Dr Strange + anyone who can boost damage like R4G or Okoye. Daken and other strike tile specialists help as well etc.

I used the exact same team as KGB too. When cascades happen, you will be like, "That's fast."  :o
A cacade of two or three match-3 is equivalent to or more than a 3* champed Court Death, without doing damage to your team.

Star Lord and Scarlet Witch switched (HAH!) to 3/5/5 also work nicely with 4-star Luke Cage.  Use Star Lord's purple to overwrite count down tiles.  Use Scarlet's Green (set to 5 for the only time ever) to either hopefully knock out a countdown in a bad place or to get the purple you need to overwrite the enemy special tiles.  Scarlet Witch gives a constant supply of purple for Star Lord to boot.

I use Strange (given), Chavez and any 5* meat shield. Just keep matching different colours and the crits will do the rest.

In this last event, I've been using (5*, but I'm sure 3* would work, too) Dr. Strange, plus non-champed Kitty and boosted Daken as a poor man's version of Okoye.

I can only imagine the OP doesn't have 5* Strange, but yeah that team seems like it would do pretty good!

Nova, Star-Lord, and Captain Marvel (all 4s) make for a great team against non-tile movers, too.
Nova's cheap powers get out Strike tiles fast, but they're even cheaper/faster courtesy of Star-Lord's Everyone with Me. Which will almost always be active when you're facing three Mindless Ones.
Sleight of Hand is great for overwriting enemy Strikes, especially at CL9 levels where they can get nasty. But you can also use Sleight of Hand to overwrite countdown tiles that are in danger of going off.
And as each of your friendly countdown tiles ticks down, Captain Marvel does her thing, buffs your Strike tiles, and you start doing monster match damage.
