Enraged match doubles Summoner's pact life loss

Summoner's pact reads "...lose life equal to the..."
I used Summoner's Pact during the enraged portion of Fate is Rarely Fair and took double damage!
That's some bull tinykitty.
I am using Vraska on the green node and her Gorgon's Gaze also reads "...your opponent loses 5 life"; however, that 5 points is not doubled.
Please fix the broken thing.

Thanks.

@BlessedOne - I will not be surprised, if you get the answer that damage does not equal “lose life”.

from a practical perspective, there is no difference between damage and lose life, but there is no rule defined that says “damage equal lose life” so you may get a huge disappointment as an answer.

@Tremayne I brought this issue up a while ago, when Vraska 1 became available. There was discussion about losing life vs. taking damage. In this game, those two concepts were different and they act different during enraged matches. This is an opportunity to keep the game consistent.
Summoner's Pact either needs an update to either deal damage (and then update the wording of the card) or the coding of the card needs updated to not be doubled during enraged matches.

There's unfortunately no consistency between the "lose life" and "take damage" wording in practice.  It's also been recorded in other situations, most recently with Razia - some "lose life" effects trigger Razia, some do not.

@BlessedOne - please understand me correctly. I’m not saying you are wrong in asking for consistency.

What I was trying to say before is that MTGPQ is not aiming at being consistent! Based on statements from Brigby and D3, my interpretation is that the development team is simply not big enough to ensure consistency.

So it seems there is no desire from the publisher to give you what you want. The players are not influential enough for D3 to change this and WOTC apparently do not put enough pressure on D3 to fix this (unlike paper MTG, from what I gather - I do not play paper).

I sincerely wish you get what you are asking for, but then D3 will have opened a can of worms, because consistency is missing regarding bounce, steal, draw/fetch, droprates and what not.
