Fblthp, The Lost: Accidentally Found bug

Maybe this is just a matter of defining terms. But here's the situation:
I controlled a creature, opponent had one too. I cast Swichteroo, swapping our first creatures. Then I use Accidentally Found to return my creature back to my hand. But it went to the opponent's hand.
Is this a bug or does the game not differentiate between Owner and Controller? In paper, the owner is who brings the cards to the game (or creates a token/effect) and the controller is who is currently in possession of the object.

The game does not know the difference between owner and controller.
Creatures that you permanently steal (so not with Act of Treason stuff) go to your graveyard or hand, not back to your opponent's.
Its been an issue for as long as the game has been around, been reported literally dozens of times, and never been addressed or even mentioned by any dev team.0 -
I have noticed that I sometimes draw creatures or spells that I "stole" with other cards, as well. I guess as long as I know the "rules", I can work with it. Thank you for the reply.
