FREE GIFT around 7/15 - 7/17

Right around the time The Dragon War ended, a free gift appeared in the inbox for everyone in my coalition(s).. except me. And it was a pretty lucrative gift.

They were awarded to never subscribed VIP players and players that joined the game after version 3.2.

Since I did not receive this gift, I politely sent a ticket. Next thing you know they tell me it was a player lvl adjustment gift for players that were around before the 3.2 update. I proceed to tell them I was around prior to 3.2 but instead of providing the same gift they are saying it is a gift for VIP players and still refuse to provide it. Thus, I have provided evidence that it was given to "never before subscribed vip" (i.e. non vip players). It appears they keep changing the reasons to prevent from giving out the gift...

P.S. They have said no gift was ever given.. even though the screenshot I provided clearly shows The Dragon War event ended right below the big free gift inbox message... (courtesy of a teammate)

Anyone get this gift or had any issues like this? Is this a highly discriminative gift? Can we please just get some equality?

People in my coalition got it as well, so don't listen to their lies. And no you cant get equality. There are veteran players stuck in their level because they can't master any more cards and they don't care.

People in my coalition including me got it as well, at first I thought it was the level compensation gift but @Brigby had said that would occur in 3.6 (this was a few days before the update so possibly implemented a bit too early). Awesome non dupe gifts though, odd they deny it.

Ok, but what was the gift?

If I remember correctly; 2 Standard VIP (non dupe) boosters, 1 Legacy non dupe booster and a legacy rare. About 6500 runes and some purple or crystals (can't remember that part).

I don't remember getting anything like that ever.  There was a 50mc gift after the rollback debacle, but never anything like that.

    Great, now I'm mad too

Bumping this a bit because it's not fair some did not receive it.

The gift was a Legacy booster (which was all non dupes), a Standard booster, a bit of Gold ans some pinkies - can't remember the exact number in my coalition chat, but it seems 80 gold and 40 pinkies).

It seems they accidently sent some VIP rewards to some players (I suspect to everyone, but it remained in the inbox only a few hours)

I received this gift with both my account, including my alt who has never been a VIP, even when there was the 1 week free trial at the start.

@Thésée - Totally agree it is unfair.

However, previous experience with these kinds of mistakes have been “What, we have given something for free by accident? We know nothing about that!” Followed by an attitude of “You snooze, you loose”. D3 acts like they can’t be bothered to rectify any mistakes made (either way).

To be fair to D3, so far they have been chased with pitchforks, whether they try to rectify mistakes or not. As a community, the players are not a gracious community. 🤔🤔 (maybe that is food for thoughts).

Well, they invested a lot of energy in the development of a toxic community, and with that in mind, we're rather civilised. Whenever there was an accidently given out gift, they pulled it back as fast as possible - you were either lucky or not.

@Laeuftbeidir - don’t get me wrong, I think that D3 has created a lot of problems by themselves.

I seem to recall a few years back when D3 accidentally gave a random mythic out by mistake.   the community argued everyone should get one and D3 agreed to so, which meant some players got two free mythics. That was then followed by sour voices that complained that they had only gotten one free mythic. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

since then I have seen a lot less willingness from D3 to correct mistakes.
