Link to facebook - what does it do?

Hi all

So I've now linked to facebook, having resisted for a while, but it seems to just give me a checkbox with three people's names in it. Are these a random pick of my friends? Are they people who already play the game? And what do they get if I keep their names checked and continue?

    Im pretty sure if you link to Facebook your data is stored and can be transfered from eg: iPhone-> Android if you switch/vice-versa. I believe it also helps recover any lost data in a situation where it might be corrupted (which is what happened to be in another online-phone game). The people that pop up are just people on your facebook list are random and dont play MPQ. (Either that or i have alot of friends who secretly play haha)
