Why is MPQ now incompatible with my Andoid 7.0 device?

I have made 8 changes to my device, and MPQ had been installed on it since early 2018 (LG v20).  After updating to R.182 the android play store refuses to update the game client on my device, claiming that it (my phone) is incompatible with MPQ.  I know that D3 announced a known, upcoming incompatibility with iOS this summer, but I was not aware of any such incompatibility for modestly old Android devices.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

There is a known issue in the FAQ about some Android devices receiving an incompatible device message. There are steps you can take that might fix the issue.
