App load time has made game unplayable

I can't speak for everyone here.... but at least for me with the latest update, my phone will now lock itself for power save settings three times before this app finishes launching.

This is insane. No other app even comes close to taking this long to launch, and the amount of time I have to sit and wait just to open the app up has made me not even want to bother playing anymore. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem with the app? How is this impacting your desire to play?

You know you can change those settings on pretty much every model of phone, right?

Loading times are ridiculous. I can't understand why it takes so much. It certainly impact my willingness to play the game. There are several other games I can squeeze some matches in short breaks you have during the day. This one you need at least 5 minutes to load the game go to events and start a match. If that was the time I had I lost it wait for the game to load... Sorry I have faster options for theses opportunities...

I have the phone set to lock after no screen activity for 60 seconds. That seems generous as-is. I don't want to set it to 5 minutes or whatever it will take for this game to launch. The problem isn't my screen locking, it's how long it takes just for the game to start, as Dropspot mentioned.

I'll agree that the load times are ridiculous. There's no two ways of looking at that.

However, if you're so dead set on playing the game, as your post would lead one to believe, then just change your freakin' settings. They have said in one of the most recent Q&A posts that they're aware of the problems with load times, but that there's nothing that can be done about it right now. They've also said they're looking at ways to mitigate that moving forward, as it will presumably only get worse, the more cards we get.

All I'm saying is that I don't get why you're complaining about something that for all we know can't even be helped at this point in time while you have a perfectly reasonable and simple solution that you refuse to implement. It's a bit like yelling and shaking your fist at the rain for getting you wet while you're holding an umbrella in your other hand.

The load time is something they are aware of. Let give them some time to fix it

After after spending my entire bus ride to work reloading the game only to have it crash on me 4 times before I could complete a single match, I rather start my shift 15 minutes early than touch it again. Any improvements cannot come soon enough.

I agree. Too much loading. Other games I play don't require anywhere near HALF the time needed to get past the intro screen.

I guess the game's horrible client and bloated card database is to blame, at least.

Here is the right way to do it.

1.) always have a charged powerbank or your mobile charger connected, because ten minutes of this app will cost you like 8-12% battery power.

    2.) open the app

    2.) take a shower

3.) choose event and start a match

4.) do you're daily shopping tour

5.) play a match until the last point of life (your life or greg's, does not matter in that case)

6.) call your best friend (not with the device you are playing this game in, obviously.

    7.) claim the rewards.

    8.) back to 1.)

I am so glad i only play at night and at work...

Nobody wants to play a phone game that takes 10+ minutes to complete 1 game or over an hour to complete one round of games! It should be 1-3 minutes and trending closer to 1 minute than 3.

I own all the cards and planeswalkers and this event is too much work. I can’t imagine what it’s like for people with smaller collections...

Seriously.  The grind is real, and it mostly involves staring at black screens

The game that gets my whale dollars for the past 3 months is just so much better than what this game has become https://dragalialost.com/sp/en/news/detail/620

Big fan of Langrisser myself, enjoy the strategic gameplay.

Back to the topic at hand, in addition to the game length, it's very disheartening that their flagship creation for this expansion, Vanguards, have such playability problems that they cause the game to think about the start of my turn for upwards of 24 seconds.  I mean, I run a Galaxy S8. It isn't the newest, but it sure isn't a bad piece of hardware by any stretch. I literally played 4.3 this morning while making breakfast. I'd come back every 60 seconds or so and hope that my turn had finally started.

I mean, that isn't even game loading times. That's just "game figuring out how to fetch an Azor and summon some Thopters" time, which should be pretty darn quick.
