Do you have saboteurs at Oktagon?

Once again, you run an event which you've run many times before, and somehow this time it's broken; RtO did not have node effects in most (three?) of it's nodes this time around.

How does this even happen? Why are your old events degrading over time? Is it industrial espionage? Or is the magnetic tape that you store them on finally reaching the end of it's life?

Before VIP I wondered if they werent making enough money at the game so they were trying to ruin it so they could justify working on other projects.

However with the VIP disaster, and all the other disappointments, I think no one in influential roles at Octagon actually plays the game or they just view it as a source of revenue but somehow also not worth serious investment

I really thought I was going crazy and had just imagined the node effects on most of them until about halfway through the event when a coalition member remarked on it.

It happens because THEY DON'T CARE. No Quality Control  over anything. T.. they just push out new product and care less about what happens.

That's an reason for new content not working; but OLD content not working? When it worked before? What's up with that??
No Quality Control also means no regression testing. Meaning old cold doesn't get checked when new code is added because that happens.
Impact analysis is a wonderful thing that apparently doesn't happen at Oktagon (either.. their predecessors were just as bad at that... )

I'm trying to look on VIP as a good thing. It's had it's problems with implementation in the past, it still seems to be having it's problems with people not receiving their rewards, and it will probably cause problems when Oktagon realise the non-dupe Standard boosters are destroying their 'economy', but it does look like quite a number of players have taken to paying for VIP status, which must mean an injection of cash into the company, which I would *hope* would mean some more money for development, so they could maybe fix some bugs, some lag, and some download times, and improve QoL for everyone... and not just all be syphoned out to shareholders.

I've been wanting to ask a question in the Q&A about this, but we don't seem to have had one for a while?
Yeah I mean that sounds nice.  I'd like to be hopeful about this too...just doesn't seem like much has changed so far unfortunately :/

It's still quality control, you have to make sure the new works with the old not just plug the code in and see what happens, which is they way they do things, they can't say otherwise as the bugs are so apparent within minutes of the game being updated.

If they didn't have the Magic the Gathering IP they'd have no game, no core die hard players and no way of attracting people to the game.....
The "VIP" system just makes the game the same as any other match 3 game with a VIP system now.... its turned into pay your money on a regular basis or play hamstrung.
I won't pay into it because it's a lot of money, which it is....some other games charge £4.99 / £9.99, also Oktagon have shown a complete lack of emotion and understanding when talking to its players and fan base, they don't seem to care as so many are putting.....and those of you who fund the VIP system are nuts...and that's coming from me!

hate to say it but I prefer D3. At least they offered Q&A, at least for the most part they wanted the game to work as intended without fleecing you in the process.
