    Nope!

Standard doesn't rotate until there are 8 (non-Origins) sets in standard, then the 9th triggers the rotation.

With WAR we will have IXN, RIX, DOM, M19, GRN, RNA, and WAR.

That means there is room for 1 more set (M20 this summer most likely), and then whatever the fall set is will trigger rotation (prob November/December if the devs keep up the month delay between paper and PQ)
One addition to this (and correct me if I’m wrong Brigby ) When the rotation does happen, the 4 oldest sets will rotate out — and then rotation will take place once a year with 4 sets rotating out like in paper.
When the rotation occurs, then yes. XLN, RIX, DOM, and M19 will move to Legacy.

As for the frequency of the rotation, I suppose that would really depend on how quickly or slowly new card sets are being introduced into tabletop Magic: the Gathering.

Is there any consideration from the Devs regarding how big the app could get if it continues like this?
As it is the app already uses 500+ MB of internal storage space on my phone because of how many sets are packed into the game. I never expected this game to try and mimic paper magic's rotation system - long term.

Eventually there will come a time where I simply won't have the space to download whatever new update is released. And the game obviously requires the latest release to even work. (I see an uninstall coming...)

So... I suspect Oktagon's position will be that it's players will be forced to buy new phones/more space just to keep up with rotation plus any extra game add-ons. Just another annoying thing to note about this game post-Ixalan.

The size of the app and its growth rate is certainly something our team is cognizant of, but as of this moment I'm personally unaware yet as to what steps are being taken to address this situation moving forward.

I love flinging blame at Oktagon as much as the next guy, but in this case they are not alone.  Phones are getting fancier and app demand is growing.  Of the games on my phone MTGPQ is 4th in size at 900MB, where Hearthstone is #1 at 2.1gb! Apps that evolve are going to grow so yes, you might need to buy a new phone to keep up with not just MTGPQ, but anything else on your phone.

That being said, I also play Horus Heresy: Legions, which is almost exactly like Hearthstone, and that game is only 238mb.  How they come in at a 1/10th of the size of H$ must be wizardry.

I find as time goes on and one does not do clean installs of updated versions the app gets bigger and bigger and bigger. So I suggest making sure it is linked to a facebook profile and deleting/reinstalling and rechecking your phones available memory before and after.
