Claiming Free Cards [Investigating]

What is wrong with the servers? It now regularly takes me anything between 10 and 20 attempts to claim free cards and this means restarting the app on almost every attempt because otherwise I would be looking at the load circle for hours. This does not happen in the same way (at least not as often) with claiming regular boosters from event rewards.
Connecting to the servers just starting the game or when going to the events is also taking forever, regardless of my connection quality or type (WiFi or Mobile Data). .

    I have the same issue. Worse, I had it with the pinkie mythic+ booster and... I got no card and lost 400 crystals...

    I never had that issue until today. Rather annoying.

    Same.  Galaxy A8, Android 9.  All weekend I've had the lagging free booster issue.  I've also been experiencing numerous 'an error occurred' messages on battle completion (the 'ending encounter' phase) and even on the purchase of a planeswalker - it charged my account but 'error occurred' and didn't deliver the planeswalker.  The latter complaint has already been rectified by support, but there's definitely some connected issue,

    The issue specifically happens in a period of time instead of all day.
    Just now I have been spending an hour to claim the free booster.
    But that only take me 2 tries to claim a RIX booster, and one shot for the daily reward.
    Login is tragically slow with numerous time of "cannot connect to server" message.

    But to add: Once I finally did claim the free cards my Runes went from 247293 to 247143. So I actually lost Runes. I haven't gone to my planeswalkers at all(EDIT: to use up runes to level) since I've been spending the entire time trying to claim the free packs. So getting duplicate cards actually reduced my runes!
    Because of this I'm not touching packs. I'll wait the 6 hours for another free booster and see if the runes get depleted.
