I have to say, I love how each walker's "signature" creatures get a partner buff that fits what that walker is trying to do.  The flavor is really sweet.

Also, the card designs look pretty great right now, so nice job! (assuming they all work, that is)

1 Question:  There appear to be a cycle of Rares and Mythics that are not cards from WAR.  Will these be event/paid for/vip exclusives?  Or were they made for another reason?

Hover over the art for each card, and you can see that these cards are Exclusives. They all bear the tagline "Not Yet Available In Boosters".

My guess, we'll see the mythics for cash, and possibly the rares as well (though the rares could also be some kind of event reward).

The event mythics from RT were from previous sets, correct?

That's correct. These cards are also from older Ravnica sets, if memory serves. I'm too lazy to go check Gatherer though, so please feel free to call me out if I'm wrong.

More specifically, they're from the Guild Kits (which are old Ravnica cards)

That's also where we got Teysa, Borborygmos, Isperia, Razia, etc.

I find it entertaining that there are yet MORE cat creatures (not complaining, mind you) in this set... I mean, I don't read up on MtG lore or card creators, but is this, like, a known trend? ;)

There are no cats in the lore (besides Ajani and the leonin, if they count), but people like cats and Cat Tribal is a thing people like to make for casual commander and stuff, so WoTC likes to throw out new ones every so often.

Same reason we randomly have snakes, beasts, legendary bears, birds, or cards with the "leviathan, octopus, kraken, or serpent" specific abilities or types.

And we got one Wolf and no Werewolves with a new Arlinn...

Apparently Werewolves are in the minority since they were only featured with... two?.. expansions... Arlinn's just in as a Support because everyone else is... :(

Speculation is werewolves will show up again in a future set in Standard to make use of that ability.

it is at least an inventive way to include the planeswalkers though i think, and it will cause no end of trouble i think just IMHO
