ToZ is the most Difficult Event timelessly. isnt it?

7th node Temmet still give us 15 ribbons.

who need 2nd-9th node "to hit progression reward".

let the picture say so.

//edit - we can farm ribbon from same node more than once.//

    Should be, really should be.

Maybe they forgot to change a few parameters, so the target was supposed to be 135 or the win per match was supposed to be a lot higher as you progressed to the last levels. They sure are difficult if you don’t have a huge collection or very select cards.

You were all JUST complaining about how there's nothing to do any more now that Rising Tensions is semi-retired... so look what happened?  50 wins to get progression per event.  I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY.

This is what I was thinking...
They didn't tune the points because they wanted people to have something to do that wasn't TG, so there you go... ;)  :p

Can you tell us if that wasn't just an oversight when it was planned to launch Trial of Zeal? It would have made more sense if there had been a point increase as with the original event if the progression levels were going to remain the same, right?

This is another great example of how inexistent testing is. I bet nobody bothered to do the math here or question the points awarded vs progression.

But hey, your devs are meant to do what they are told, let's blame the product manager instead. You do have one of those, right?

It might be an oversight or a mistake, but there is really no reason to think that it is.  People have been asking for this event to come back, they "fixed" it, they made mention of the fix in the release notes.  Brigby kindly added an event page for it even though it was a very busy time.  The event page has no mistakes in it that I have seen.

Horrible. And doesn't even grant purples...

Well it does, 30. But that takes 600 points = 40 matches

I was hoping this would be fixed or adjusted.

Can we implore the team to take a look at changing this before the next run?  No other event in the MTGPQ catalog requires this many wins.

ToZ has been such a bloody mess ever since it no longer is a Node-based event.

I'm not just talking about the last two iterations of it, including today's, which is admittedly better than the first time we got ToZ where it is literally impossible to reach half of the maximum progression meter (thanks to the lack of repeat points)

    THANK.
    YOU.

I'm still reminded to how people are COMPLAINING when I pointed out there are too many games needed to be played per day just to get the daily rewards, and looks like they just haven't learned the lesson of the benefit of having fewer games to play.

As the issue was brought up weeks before the last patch, and we've gone through a patch, I doubt we'll ever see it changed.

The only semi-logical explanation is that it takes true zeal to complete the Trial of Zeal.

I think this wouldn't be so bad if each victory gave you 20xp per card. That way I could grind a level or two out.
That said this is kind of like every other game I played.
Just take inventory of what you want and go for that.
I have my favorite sets so these packs don't bother me too much since I'm not a huge fan of this set.
That said.... 50 wins and if you count the long load times it's almost 250-300 minutes with a deck like mine.
That's five hours. Who has time like that?!!?

Do the first level only. And don’t bother with final reward.  Still is a grind.  Must be a mistake.  No one want me that level of boredom surely?

Grinding this event straight up sucks, the first time you clear any node it gives your cards 20 Exp., but the subsequent times it gives just 2 exp. Not even good for leveling

Are the teams aware that Trial of Zeal is setup like this? Have they actually looked at/played this version of it?

I can't imagine someone's requirement was "Turn Trial of Zeal into a Story event" and there were NO further details to it, but that's exactly what it seems like.  :s
