Downgrades

Why downgrading our prefered characteres?

I think now it would be better to create a 5 stars ***** category and put in it wolvy **** and invisible woman **** and upgrading spidey, thor for example in 4 stars.

There is so much characters That i think a new ***** category must be better for Long Time players.

Actually there is not enouth difference betwenn categories , and downgrading our prefered characters is frustrating.

Thx

The core $$ players have their spider man's maxed out, and he's not making D3 money. While a 2 iso stun is cheap (both to use and as a tactic), neutering it to 5 iso was meant to:

Drive spending of other covers and characters.
reduce spider man overuse in tournaments.

    End.
  • Yes but thor was downgraded and a new thor was created !!

Why dont create new class of heroes?

    Spiderman MUST be powerfull icon_e_smile.gif

They already pretty much did that with Gold characters. Sure, they're only 3 stars at the moment (I wouldn't doubt a gold 4-star Dr. Doom down the road) which makes them easier to find but they are built to be simply better than other characters (compare Cap** and Cap***'s red powers, plus level scaling). So there's a ton of competition to win them--in the recent Daken tournament with LazyThor as a reward, I needed 800 points just to get in the top 50. That'd be a first place or top 5 easy in almost every bracket I've ever been in.

That said it's likely there will be another Spidey some day (and since I can't think of how he'd be different, it'd likely be a Gold version, which, if pattern holds, would mean it would have to be ultra-rare). But they're not 'downgrading' him to make room, they're balancing him to make more different team compositions viable, which in turn makes PvP more variable and exciting.

Because, in addition to all the pvp reasons why spidey is OP, a 2ap stunlock is one of the major contributing factors to the insane pve scaling. Notice how much less the nodes scaled when Spidey was not an available character?

Those of us who joined after spidey are basically 2nd class citizens, and there is nothing we can do to catch up unless they fix spidey.

What I did notice was the people still ending up in the high 300s in the latest Heroic....when Spidey wasnt an option, so try again. Its the persistent PVE MMR, plus unilateral community scaling (combined with all the people who have a max Patch). I think that community scaling needs to be part of the equation, but more importantly it should be how much the user plays that event. Basing it on the user would make it easier to ratchet things down between events so people arent starting a new PVE with base levels through the roof. Personally, my scaling hasnt been too bad, but that is in large part because I try to only place top 20 (or whatever that tier break is) in PVE so I dont scale the fun out of the game, as seems to be happening to numerous people. Even with that strategy, my final nodes were mid to high 200s....and I ended up 44th.

Not that I don't understand why Spidey is being nerfed, but I disagree that he was was such a major factor in the crazy PvE scaling. Spiderman was not a usable character in the recent heroic events (juggernaugt, osborn, venom, etc...) and those were scaling quite high.
