Here's a Fun Little Experiment!

So I was doing a bit of deck-building yesterday, and it got me thinking...

What would happen if I could add one single card into my deck that didn't match the color of my Planeswalker? Just one card could be the exception to the color rule. 

I have a straight-forward, Green ramp deck that just rapidly pumps out Saproling tokens. Pretty much just brute force get as many tokens out as possible and hit them in the face before they can kill me.

  • Nissa's Pilgrimage

If I could add any one card into that deck from another color, I'd definitely replace Wayward Swordtooth with Anointed Procession.

    I've always wanted to run Deploy the Gatewatch in my Samut Blitz deck.
    Vivien's Invocation is nice, but more is better!

    Also I would love to have access to more Allies for my old Zendikar Gideon deck.  There are some great Rally abilities in other colors that would be nice to have access to.

    Thinking along the same lines, I might play Koth (+9 on Red) if I could add BSZ 😛

    For my creaturless Ob deck I'd add Wrath of God to kill them all!

    What about combining Forgotten Creation with cards like Decree of Justice and Anointed Procession into a Kaya Deck?

    You could also add in cards like Behold the Beyond and Awaken the Erstwhile to create a bunch of Zombie and/or Angel/Soldier tokens, then Kaya's Ruinous Wake ability could be a backup win condition?

    Not a bad idea. The only issue is that Kaya is terrible. I honestly can't think of anything better than just adding BSZ to a non-blue planeswalker or adding something like plague wind to non-black.

    This is fun.
    I have a neat power-ramp build with Vivien that's along the lines with Brigby's green saproling build above.
    It ramps with Gates and critters that bolster gates or are bolstered by them...mostly elves with attitude.
    I would love to toss "Glorious End" (in legacy) or "Chance for Glory" (in standard) in with it.
    Those chaos cards that turn a tinykitty situation into a win are my favorite way to win (in non-team events).

    Addendum: This would be a great feature in a future Duel Decks event.
