This looks to be by design, but does not align with the wording on the card.

Current wording
Whenever you cast a creature, your Planeswalker and this creature gains Hexproof until the beginning of your next turn.

Suggested wording
Whenever you cast a creature, your Planeswalker and that creature gains Hexproof until the beginning of your next turn.
- the use of "that" would imply the creature you just cast
