April's fool covers?

Seems like some characters have funny covers now
like 3* iron man ans Rocket Groot

    I counted 13 of them, and 3* black panther is the cutest, awww :)


    EDIT:
    3*: Deadpool, Kamala, IM40, Cap. Am, R&G, Spiderman, Black Panther
    4*: Gwenpool, Lockjaw, Mockingbird, Howard the Duck
    5*: Ghost Rider, JJ

    I love, love, LOVE these Skottie Young covers. The alt Fantastic Four and Carol covers have stuck around, I'd love for these ones to as well!

    These were rolled out last year for April Fool’s. Glad to see the return!

    But don’t expect them to be permanent...just enjoy the moment.

    They should offer these like they do costumes so you can have alternate covers.

    Of course they shouldn't cost $75 though  ;)

    Although i vehemently agree, and love when they change the covers like this, as a programmer i know it is very hard.  The framework for the covers was most likely put in place years ago, and is linked to a universal data file, costumes are your own personal save data. I doubt we will be able to get novelty covers as individuals any time soon.

    So I def don't have one for either Thanos. And only Panther 3*. Maybe typo or is it me...?

    No Thanos cover that I can see either. I wish they would do something with the terrible Valkyrie cover, but I agree these are cool. It would be great to keep them.

    I suspect they went with costumes due to the social aspect of it.  If I get acquire a costume and then play with that character in PVP, all my opponents can see the costume and maybe some will decide they want the costume too.  So it is both a prestige and marketing item.
    In contrast, where would I see an opponent's alternative comic covers?  If it is only for when you browse through other players' rosters, then the exposure is much lower.

    My bad. The Skottie Young variant is a parody of the regular Thano5 cover, and it's close enough that I mis-read it when I was scrolling through my roster. Also, I was kind of expecting it to be there, since they did that one last year.
