is chain stun fair?

  • Can you "Too Lazy; Didn't Watch" the issue here?
  • The guy made a long video showing how 1* players can use the relatively new Desert PVP node to let Storm and Modern Widow stunlock any opponent forever. The link is to his own YouTube channel.

TLDR: Desert node + Lightning Strike + Widow's Sting + time = victory.

  • Is it always that laggy on steam? Wow
  • big whoop. Too slow on offense, fast fodder on defense to any team. Focus storm, gameover
  • In general, yes, but you made some misplays, took a lot of damage, and though it was a mismatch, it wasn't as big a mismatch as the levels would indicate (1*s scale better). Chain stunning is crazy but your video doesn't indicate how powerful it is. Winning a mismatch against likely under-covered 2* heroes while needing to spend a health pack is quite fair.

The only problematic chain stun, Spiderman, is getting nerfed really hard soon.

1* Storm/BW is a great team for 1*s and transitioning 2*s and performs amazingly vs teams with only one damage dealer, but will inevitably take pretty big damage against teams like IM35/Juggs. It is also the single worst viable team defensively in the entire game (no, Yelena/C Hawkeye is not a viable team).

2* Storm blue is hella powerful but it is a nuke skill first, stun skill second. She is incredibly frail and she will typically tank blue for your team so even though her blue has brokenly devastating effects (instant win button for 11 blue) you're gonna be burning through health. Paired with MNMags (most popular pairing) and this becomes the easiest viable 2* team to face.

3* Cap is overall good but requires 24 blue to stunlock. His blue is a good stun in that it can be used to finish off a character that's about to let loose a powerful skill (say opponent have Thor at 1.5k health and he has 12 Yellow, you wanna stun him and finish him off before stun wears off) or if there's nothing especially threatening on the horizon, it can be used to eliminate match damage, but it is very bad for maintaining stunlock. Very fair stun

Conclusion: In principal, Stunlocks that are easy to set up are unfair. Post-spidey nerf, the only stunlock that can be achieved realistically will be MBW/MStorm that you're using which is a team you'll rapidly outgrow and before you do it is a very easy team to beat in PvP. The unfair combo is balanced by the fact that you'll be getting hit like crazy and that you'll constantly be taking damage and forced to heal.
  • Enjoy it now. Once you max a few 2* characters and if you keep using that method, you will lose a lot from retaliation points. Might work on offense when you start playing against maxed 2*s but you will be an easy target due to those characters' low hp.

not laggy at all, it's the video recording software's fault.

    Outside miracle cascades anyway.

(I lost Ares + OBW + Rags to this setup a few days ago)

Yeah, and you can also make warm water by mixing cold and hot.

We asked that desert be removed right after it replaced the city node -- no avail.

So what is the news here? mStorm could do the same in forest from the very start and the storm/mbw/im35 starter team could beat the big guys there.

I dont have a problem with chain stun. Its part of the game. Useful against PVE that can't retaliate or when you are really bored.
