Soft lock: Rupture Spire fails to resolve [Investigating]

Had a soft lock in my last game when Rupture Spire failed to resolve.  The gems were destroyed but the replacement gems never fell.  The game continued until LPS kicked in but the gems never dropped.  Nothing to do but quit.

Some further info.  To start the turn I killed a Runaway Steamkin.  The last item on the Battle Log is: Runaway Steam-Kin was triggered.
Since it was my turn, nothing should have triggered it.  It triggers on casting spells, which doesn’t happen on my turn.

    @Tombstone Here's a pair of logs:

    Note that Agrus Kos is not my creature but was triggered, but he is only supposed to trigger "at the beginning of each turn". Additionally, as @Gilesclone mentioned - Runaway Steam-Kin (note: not his creature) is triggered, but that only triggers "at the end of your turn" (edit: and on spell cast, but that's not happening here).

    It seems like when many gems are being destroyed at once (i.e., large cascades), the turn is incorrectly swapping between the players. This seems to be related to the Aetherworks Marvel one that still remains unresolved.

    I didn't screenshot it but I had a soft lock last week and I cant remember what triggered it but as above the gems didnt drop just showed an empty space, the import part:
    the last line in the log was that Abbot of Keral Keep was triggered.

    That was something my opponent didn't even have on the board, it was in his graveyard.  Not a card in my deck
