Loop prevention system can be bypassed

I just achieved this today. Not sure if I should post how I got this to happen, but it was totally by accident and can’t really be planned.
Since I got this to happen, I decided to test the limits of the loop prevention system. It seems once it has passed, you can actually just loop forever. The game started to slow down significantly, so I killed the loop here. But, it seemed that the loop prevention system never kicked in again.
Also, this isn’t really exploitable, since if you looped, you probably already won the match.
