Heroic alliance rewards are still missing

People who switched alliances after the end of heroic never got their alliance prize. Lycra came back from vacation and got a daken for joining our alliance without having played in event. System should use roster at the finish line, not 2 days later.

Wayyyyy back during the first alliance event (fearless defenders), we also found that out the hard way.

Because of the 7 day cooldown on being kicked from a team, a few of our members started a mini-alliance to see how they would fare. They scored into the covers threshold (with only 3 or 4 ppl? Nice!), but some left the alliance before rewards were given out. People who left the alliance before rewards didn't get anything, and their scores weren't used in the calculation, either (so the people who stayed in the alliance didn't get the covers in the end, since they fell out of the threshold.)

I think somebody either pinged CS or IceIX about it and I believe the response was that the final alliance score wasn't tallied until the rewards are actually given out. I suspect total alliance scores are probably not even stored, but determined on-the-fly (fairly common practice to ensure data reliability/accuracy.)

It hasn't affected us since then because there hasn't been any alliance swapping, but it's something we have been aware of. I'd suggest people stay in their alliance until rewards are given out.

Yeah, now i know. Heard it from CEO himself. Unfortunately this doesnt do anything for the poor guy that quit because he didnt get his alliance daken. Its bad customer service to rip people off their prizes over a technicality. Taking a snapshot of the alliance roster and score at the time of completion would work just fine. I am a software engineer and we pull reports with a lot of data. This is a trivial report. If they capture your score and alliance score when you finish, they can capture te roster too ... : /

What a ****.

We got people leaving / kicked after Season 1 without the knowledge about the Rewards bug. So basically new members got rewards for our top25, while those who left got nothing.

Once again D3 - You're doing such a brilliant job in not doing things properly!
