No one wants to be on the other side of a deck that goes and goes forever and makes you force close the app... then spend 3 minutes loading the game all over again.
If you have to force close the app, then the cards being played are bugged.

Also, loading times on this game are attrocious.
Playing in iOS if you encounter an infinite loop deck (which I used to see all the time when Omniscience was in standard and is the reason I still refuse to play legacy PvP) you have no choice but to force close the app and load it all over again. There is no back button to use.
Omni deck is not endless. Actually it ends very fast, but yes it's combo and it still work after patch. Only came once to an endwarning in pve.

The problem is that omni can end a match in one turn from 500hp. At least for some player.

Btw omni get a boost within this patch: apex of power got also a prompt like bfb and so on.

Not listenening =/= getting whatever you want or not getting what you don't want.

Sometimes Magic changes its rules. A lot of people complained when the commander format changed its rule so you could put your general back in the command zone if it would be tucked into your library. Also once upon a time unused mana in the paper game used to deal you damage at the end of your turn, tapped artifacts got turned off, and their effects no longer applied.

Sometimes new rules are added in, sometimes old rules are done away with, usually the person running the game does it because they think it's better for the game all around. No one wants to be on the other side of a deck that goes and goes forever and makes you force close the app... then spend 3 minutes loading the game all over again.
Well if you compare.try a comparable rule.

Correct if I am wrong but in Paper Magic a way long turn isn't over instantly and an endless loop comes way more elegant to an end. Of course not usable here because there is no judge and ne real life opponent that can choose a number.

I'm not trying to do a same rule. My point is that sometimes rule changes are unpopular with a group of players who rely on them or who liked the rule as it was, but that for the good of the overall game, the rules needed to change. You don't have to like that they added in a timer, but I'm in the camp that says that the timer is a good thing to have, and appreciate it being added in. The amount of time is something I'm willing to say they can adjust as needed, to me 90 seconds seems more than generous. You can not like it, and that's fine, I can understand why you might not like it.

I can't and won't argue against opinon as it's always a losing proposition for both parties involved.

There literally are endless Omniscience decks. I've seen the Omniscience into Riskhar's Expertise into Whir of Invention (with Omniscience being the only support in the deck) And I can see where this might have gotten worse with Refurbish now letting all three cards being playable together in Karn where the deck goes and goes and goes... and it's not just Omniscience.

I've run into Kiora decks with massive gem converters, Stitch in Time, and lots of card draw that can take 12 swaps in a row. Being able to shut off these massive turns so I can just lose and get my 50 runes, or at least stand a chance at winning these matches is a good thing, especially since there's no way in PQ to run cards like Render Silent or Time Stop to put an end to these endless casts of spells.
