    Its up!

And I've gotta say, I really like what I see there.  The mythics and masterpieces are powerful and look fun to build around, but none seem super game-breaking (Lavinia seems filthy for legacy, though).

I love how adapt looks (and am by no means biased by my love for Simic), and the other mechanics don't look half bad either.

I know there's a lot of hate going around now, but this is something to be excited about.

Yeah, I leveled Kiora up to 60 specifically to make sure I could get all the Simic lovin' I could get into one deck. I'm really glad to see my faith was rewarded.

Really?  You didn't do it because she's the best walker in the game?  (or top 5 if you don't agree with best lol)

    ...yeah, I really didn't.

I mean now, yeah, I see it. She's amazing. But I didn't level her for that reason.

I just liked her and I liked Simic. She was number two to 60 after Ajani2 (I know Huatli2, but I love the big catman and I just seem to have better luck with Ajani).

Somehow I always get the most excited about commons and uncommons. In this case, Goblin Gathering and Sentinel's Mark have me the most interested.

Among the Mythics/MPs there's several that struck me as being toned-down versions of cards from SOI/EMN. Walking Archive is basically the return of Sage of Ancient Lore, Angel of Grace is a smaller, cheaper Avacyn but with Flash instead of Transform (she might actually be better than Avacyn TBH), and of course End-Raze Forerunners means Bacon's back on the (standard) menu.

Lot of solid rares, too. Cindervine's a great anti-combo-deck card, too bad we won't need it anymore. :(

Bunch of typos and a few issues with card formatting, but it's just a preview gallery, one hopes they'll sort that out before release.

I'm with you. Unfortunately I'm only excited about a few of the commons and uncommons. A lot of the cards I was looking forward to are just so painfully bad. They took a giant **** on almost all of Orzhov, from their PW to their garbage MP pontiff and most things in between. I hope this 18 second thing is as bad as it seems, I've been waiting for a good excuse to quit playing.

I saw a couple of cards that where quite similar to existing cards, ill-gotten inheritance seems a lot like campaign of vengeance same cost only COV is better with multiple creatures on the field.

The lockets, gates and rare lands bloats the size of the set, but love the gate shenanigans will definitely have some fun with the gates.

So far nothing have stood out as insanely OP, but I only browsed mainly looking at rare, mythic and MP.

I got a sense that cost has generally been increased. Anyone else get that feeling?

Really?  I feel like most cards are cheaper.  I guess it depends what you're looking at.  The 40 cost Horror is definitely a step up.

I thought the common and uncommon has a bit higher cost than usual.

I'm amazed how Replicate powercrept Quasiduplicate in the span of a single set.

Deputy of Detention in paper - Exile that nonland card, and every card with the same name.

Deputy of Detention in PQ - Exile that creature. Give them a copy of it so it can just come right back.

I think they still have to save up the mana to cast it. Deputy of Detention in paper magic returns the creature to play once it leaves, so I think trying to make an actual oblivion ring effect in this game is hard. Think about Ixalan's Binding, it doesn't give the creature back if the support is destroyed. Also In Bolas's Clutches doesn't give the creature back when destroyed either.

Bolas's Clutches gives it back to your GY if the support is destroyed before the creature. Plenty of cards take and give back.

Now that we can not only see the Exile pile, but that there are cards that can take from it, the code should be there for cards like this to function properly by returning the exiled creature.

I think they're pretty equal.  The Jump Start on Quasi is a huge bonus (since you never have to draw it to use it and it fuels itself), but Replicate gives the double-reinforce much more quickly.  Fair is fair.
