Ratings....

Due to the screwing over that I got because I leveled my cards prior to 3.2 I am going on every single rating site I can and giving this game the lowest score possible. I'm so pissed that I got screwed by a game I have invested so much in, Until such time (if ever) that this is rectified I will continue to express my opinion on every gaming site possible. I encourage all others who got the screwing to do the same.

Flagging posts like this is the same as saying I support Freedom of Speech...unless I disagree with what you say or how you are saying it.

Freedom of Speech is a particularly American bugbear that many of us don't even have in our countries.
What we _do_ have is societal pressure to be polite and nice to each other. So for me _how_ you say things matters a lot. There are ALWAYS ways to word things and frame them and couch them to get more understanding and sympathy from others and if you are just throwing a childish tantrum that is of no benefit to anyone rather than making a coherent argument then I will absolutely flag it because it goes against the atmosphere that is wanted here.

These forums used to be a cesspool of immature narcissistic negativity and I will resist it returning to that in any way I can with my limited non-mod powers.

I want this to permanently stay a community, not go back to being a **** mob. They are different things.

So have complaints, be upset, but word things in a way that looks for sympathy and comfort, not trying to antagonise a fight.

The best thing to do is save your posts as a draft and come back tomorrow and reword them more constructively.

Who is he antagonizing? Are you offended that he is mad that he got screwed with the experience/level system? Is it the wording of "being screwed"? He said it pretty plainly and calmly. He is upset with the direction of the game and this has affected his rating of it. He's making it known that he's going to rate it poorly anywhere he can. This happens when any business makes poor decisions that hurt consumers. If Verizon were to screw me over on my cell phone bill and I just concede and switch to Sprint, they have little incentive to fix whatever happened to me. If I slam them on social media for it (aka give them bad ratings on ratings sites and increase visibility of the issue), they are more likely to rectify the situation.

Whether or not he was "screwed" is not up to us to decide. It is his opinion that he was and he would like to share that on ratings sites. If people reading his reviews agree with him, his poor rating of the game will influence them. If they don't agree, they will largely ignore his review. There is no cesspool of narcissistic negativity in his post and claiming it as such should maybe cause you to reflect on your own post instead.

His freedom of speech is to say what he wants, ours is to flag it so mods can see if it violates any terms we all are bound to on this forum.

Flag it for what? Just to see if it violates something? We are all bound to the rules and we know what they are, you tell me, what rule did he violate?

Yes, I am pissed and if you don't like that I can express my anger..... tough.... I feel that I have the right to be angry at something that treats me unfairly as I have been with the game since the beginning, did the things they asked (mastered my cards), and now get penalized for having done it.  If we don't express our opinions then there is no hope that things will change, while I have little hope for a fix, there is some hope. I give ratings for many things .... thats why they exist.... t for feedback....

"You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this community to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law."

Defamatory is one that comes to mind (rating low out of spite and anger). Calling on others to do the same seems like incitement to me (though not specifically mentioned).

Another rule is "acting like a jerk".

Again, it's up to D3/mods to decide whether this is the case here, hence the flags.

He can be angry all he wants but to post it in this childish and spiteful way is not the right way.

Other than that this has nothing to do with Freedom of Speech, D3 makes the rules here.

Defamatory requires a good reputation to be slandered. The current climate slants towards that not being the case. Not to mention that submitting poor reviews on a game or movie isn't considered slanderous or movie and game critics would be getting hit with defamation lawsuits left and right.

Now incitement, that's certainly the case here. Him submitting his own personal opinion as a review of the product is one thing. Encouraging others to follow suit is another. That last line should be removed.

The bit that crosses the line for me isn't being angry himself and saying he's going to rate it badly, it's trying to incite other people to rate it badly. Trying to form a mob...
What company would let that stay on their page?
What person would let anything similar stay on their own FB page?

Just a thought, i understand you are upset, but the best option would be to pose a solution.  We have an entire suggestions forum that the devs do read.  If you feel a change was for the worse, tell them! Do it diplomatically and it will be seen and possibly addressed. Venting frustration is fine, but how would you want it rectified satisfactorily?

Thanks for the productive comment! Just to give you a context, the issue this is about is already "covered" in a thread in this forum with ~140 comments. The devs are very well aware and a wide range of possible solutions have been suggested. Now we wait in the dark what they do with it, which isn't really helpful to keep the tone productive.
