Despoiler of Souls sometimes drains mana twice, and dies for real otherwise [Investigating]

So, the situation is that I have Skaab Goliath (on entering, kills my other creatures and gain +6/+6 for each creature killed), Squee (revives automatically after being killed and reinforces himself), and Despoiler of Souls (when killed, if it can drain 3 mana from my cards it auto-revives).

It consistently happens that when my Skaab Goliath kills BOTH Squee and Despoiler, Squee resurrects as normal, but Despoiler drains my mana TWICE. And if it fails to drain my mana on either time, it dies for real, despite returning to the battlefield for a brief instant.

From what I have experienced, this seems to be a bug unique to this situation (if my Despoiler dies any other way, whatever its stats or reinforcements, it drains mana only once), so just saying.

Interesting. I'll be sure to relay this to the team for review.

Just to clarify, this issue is only occurring when Squee, the Immortal is also destroyed and returned to the Battlefield as well?

Have you ever noticed the double Mana Drain without Squee, the Immortal being present?

Were there other graveyard related cards on the board like journey to eternity? The conflict of parallel resurrection triggers is known and ignored

No, there was no Journey to Eternity. I think I'll need to put those cards in other decks to test them further.

Also, I haven't tested whether the double drain would occur without Squee, but regarding what I said about sometimes, there's something I think is worth checking as well:

The order of Squee and Despoiler is apparently also important: From what I remember, if Squee is under Despoiler, then the double mana drain happens. But if Squee is ABOVE Despoiler, unless I saw wrong Squee became reinforced TWICE.

If I see anything else about this I'll let ya know :)

EDIT: If anyone is still reading this, looks like creatures who can self-revive inherently have problems in this game currently.

I tested a deck earlier with Squee, Despoiler and Relentless Dead, all of which can self-revive, then put Hour of Revelation (blow up everything) as well.

When all three are on the field at the same time, and then blown up all at once (like, via Hour of Revelation or Fumigate), the bottom creature will self-revive and trigger its effect once, the middle creature will self-revive and trigger its effects TWICE (so, Despoiler will drain twice, Squee will reinforce twice etc), and the top creature will self-revive and trigger its effect THREE times (so yeah, triple mana drain from Despoiler, triple reinforcing from Squee)

Hope this might help shed a clue on what's wrong.

This was the same thing that was under investigation over a month ago: https://forums.d3go.com/discussion/comment/857872#Comment_857872

I can also confirm it does occur with other return-to-battlefield creatures, as I ran the same setup with Skaab Goliath, Despoiler and Reassembling Skeleton in today's RT.  The effect was exactly the same, with the second creature reviving twice.  That includes the Skeleton - I only had one on the board but because I had a separate one already in the graveyard, they both came back.

Also incidentally, when all of this occurred the ultimate for Liliana Death's Majesty (2 damage to opponent when a zombie enters the battlefield) was on the board.  For some reason, the effect triggered twice when Skaab Goliath entered the board and all of the revivals resolved, even though Goliath is the only Zombie in this setup and I only cast one.

Adding this back as it has now reappeared when playing Kaya's Wrath and both Despoiler and Squee are on the board.  I've also had it occur when Greg played Plague Wind against me.

Also per Laeuftbeidir's note there are still some wacky interactions with Journey to Eternity - can we get clarification on how these are supposed to work together (does Journey resolve before the creature's death effects, or vice versa)?
