Time for sell out?

I wonder why cards like TSN and Drowner are sold for such low price. They are some of long time sought after cards for a lot of even veterans and altough they are craftable since a year they are not very common...

What next? Pig or Olivia?

It feals a little like 70% sale before closing, because small money is better than no money...

I think this comes with the newly decks they've implemented for the oldest PW.  Those didn't have any starter deck specials.

There's so many cards nowdays, it's not selling some of them that will change anything (IMHO)

I was also annoyed seeing Drower sold so cheaply considering I spent thousands of orb getting that card.

however, I think that so far the cards for sale seems to be needed to complete predefined decks from the old PW. though I might be mistaken.

I have no pride.  I bought Drowner the minute I saw it for sale.
    Giles, IMHO,

it was a best deal ever.....

    That's what I assumed.

Worked out great for me, I can add the Drowner to my Eldrazi deck and I've been lusting after Thopter Spy Network for months. Tops out a Saheeli Thopter Madness deck I wanted to build.

I'm really hoping they put Kozilek up for sale. Looked like a really fun card to play with!

Yeah that's nice, but the point is that's smells like sell out before closing.

Everybody knows that at those two cards are heavz weights in is format so why sell for cheap?

Yes you can craft, but for 3000 orbs you need to open around 4 PP/ 3 new set PP, open 3 Free Booster Packs for a month, or finish 6 RT-Events. Sounds okay, but if you don't have craft away all other cards you have to bet on luck.

Selling legacy cards for cheap isn't bad considering so many events you can't run them anyway, and lets players who weren't playing when the cards were current have a better chance at getting them. I feel no shame admitting I shelled out the $4 to buy Drowner of Hope when it went up for sale, and likely would do the same if other legacy cards went up for sale.

Thopter Spy Network, though, I have less of a positive outlook on considering not only is it standard playable, it's eternally standard playable.

    It's a valid theory.

    The special bundles:
     100 yellow = $5
    1 booster (current set) = 80 yellow = $4
1 rare (current set) = 1500 runes (add some type of value for being a specific card)
    +40 pink = unknown
    $9.99

    vs

1 rare = 3000 runes (add some type of value for being a specific card)
    $3.99

    Seems somewhat reasonable to me

You probably already have but try them both together!

    Edited to add:

PS: add Olivia and take my cash

I have, but kind of like running it with From Beyond better since it stacks the same kind of tokens.

Also I would be right there with you if they reintroduced Olivia. I still have nightmare flashbacks to my entire beginnings in the game seeing her for sale right after I downloaded the game, thinking I would be able to just pull her later rather than spend the $30 on her, and still don't have it. Though on the other hand, I like that I didn't just use her as a crutch for so many years.

I'd pay good money for him or any of the Eldrazi titans at this point. Take my money!

Not for fun only. I use him in a BW-Omni deck with Pig and some other stuff.

I'd certainly have picked some of the recent bundles, if the game wasn't a bug-riddled mess. I've put my time and money elsewhere and will see how 3.3 goes but I'm certainly not expecting much.

You know, I think I do get the impression that they just can't quite care enough to fix the bugs and glitches and whatever else anymore and instead make all these masterpieces, special mythics whatever (like, Razia in GRN? wut?) just something as a last ditch effort to fish for money. So with regards to the thread title, I think you're not wrong....
