Some Match-5s Not Granting Extra Swaps? [Investigating]

Had a turn-1 moment today where I cascaded into a match-5 (actually, a match-6) that did not grant an extra swap.

Event: Rising Tensions - Boros Legion

Node: Black-Green (bottom)

Steps: Matched three gems (white), one of which was the indestructible support assigned to me. Cascade generated a match-6 (blue; circled below, showing that it also generated the mana), but no extra swap was granted.

My Bolas has a -2 white match penalty, so the math works out:

1 mana from the 3-white match (3-2)

9 mana from the 6-blue match (6+3)

2 loyalty from two, separate matches on the cascade

Anyone else seeing this issue?

I've also seen this issue, but it was with different circumstances:

My hand was full and all cards had full mana, so any mana match actually gave me 0 mana.  I matched five naturally - no permanent support, no gem color change, no cascade - and got no extra swap.

I had a separate instance where I matched five loyalty gems and got no extra swap.  At that point I had full loyalty as well. 

I haven't been able to pay as much attention to see if there are other factors on when I have/haven't received the extra swap.

It's been happening for a while. At first I thought I just looked at the match wrong but yeah it's been happening.

Daiane - my issue was in Rising Tensions.  Beyond that I don't remember exact circumstances other than what I described, and will be on the lookout for any other times this comes up

Saw this again in RT (Blue-Black node - bottom)

This time it was the AI losing a swap. The first swap was to match 3 white gems, one of which was the permanent support. The game froze for a moment while that support changed colors, and I could see that the AI had a match-5 in the loyalty gems ready to go. 

But then the game resumed matching, hit the match-5, and ended the AI’s turn. 

Math checks out above.

Saw this again today in RT. It happened again when the permanent support was matched, which resulted into a cascade into a match-5.

I already had this one, also on turn one. I filed a support ticket and guess what ? Well - nothing.
