Jaya's 1st ability does not fill up Split Spells

What the title says.  If you fill the front side of a split spell, flip it, and then use Jaya's 1st it will not gain any mana.  (It happened to me when an Intervention was the only card in my hand).

Once again (for clarity)

Play as Jaya
Fill up the front side of a Split spell with mana
Flip the spell
Make the flipped spell the top card in your hand'
Use Jaya's first ability.

You will fetch the next spell in your deck, but you will not gain any mana.
