Kitty Practiced Offense not Triggering From War Machine Gatling Gun [Investigating]

The enemy fired a War Machine Gatling Gun TU against me and I activated Kitty's red countdown.  When the WM countdown the damage from it didn't trigger Kitty's red.  I believe this is the same bug (diff character) as @TPF Alexis wrote about with 3*BW.

Both WM and 3*BW have base damage plus damage from tile destruction.  The base damage should trigger Kitty's red.
