Steam "Check Internet Connection"

My Steam sandbox account is bugged somehow. I haven't been able to get on it in months. It's not my main, but it is fun to check out new 5 stars at full strength and see what they're made of. Every time I try to log in to the Steam MPQ it won't get past the "check internet connection" screen. What is going on? I have tried deleting and reinstalling the game. Doesn't work.
