Soft lock on holiday showdown because of no introduction of the PW

I went into the event and won my first, went to the second against Kiora and waited for the brief ramming into each other intro, only to sit for 5 mins and had to quit. AnyoeAelse have this issue? It's happened twice with this event

I could access the battle log and could see the board. Just no slamming the PWs together as happens before every battle
