UI during matches slow or unresponsive when clicking (Steam version)

While playing a match, it takes 3-5 clicks (or 2+ seconds) to use a power or cycle between enemies.  It happens mostly when trying to click on a 'new' area (i.e. rotating through enemies after making a match, or clicking on a power after a match). 

No other steam game I own is unresponsive to clicks, so it's not my system.
