Bolas the Arisen 2nd ability bugged [Investigating]

Bolas the Arisen's second ability states that it "return the creature with the most reinforcements from your graveyard to the battlefield with its reinforcements, then reinforce it" (emphasis mine)

However, if there are multiple copies of a creature in your graveyard, the ability only returns 1 copy of the creature, and then reinforces it.

    This might not be a bug. Was the creature reinforced when it entered the graveyard?

    No.  But why should that matter?  That's not how it reads to me.

    I've noticed the same thing. It definitely grabs the creature that had the most reinforcements when it entered the graveyard regardless of how many other copies are in there of other creatures.

    This does sound like it's a bug. I'll go ahead and relay this to the team for review.

    Hmm...this is certainly a good design question that I'll pass along to the team. Consider the following scenario:

    Creature A with 5 Reinforcements dies and goes to the graveyard. You play Creature A again a little bit later, and it also reaches 5 Reinforcements before it goes to the graveyard.

    Does that now count as 1x Creature A [10 Reinforcements] in the graveyard, or does it count as 2x Creature A [5 Reinforcements]?

    That's only half of the question.

    What if you Creature A dies with 2 reinforcements, then gets cast again and dies with 1 reinforcement, then gets 3 copies discarded from your deck, then dies with 3 reinforcements.

    How many come back?  (wow this seems like an awful middle school math problem lol)
