For those that have been around for some time or are on Line, know about Amazon Digital Day.  During this day, after Christmas, Amazon has a massive sale that includes in game purchases.

 For the past 2 years MPQ was apart of this sale.  So if you used Amazon Coins, it was 50% off for a stark PLUS the HP sale that MPQ does.  This was almost like a double dip.  So you could get a Stark, plus the 6,000 HP, for around $50 (plus tax if applicable).

Now in year 1 of this, we had Thanos and Black Panther in the Latest during this time frame. In Year 2, well that was during a very dark era of Gambit and how broke he was. He actually got his BUFF right before this day.  These days were some of the busiest times of the year for MPQ and had to be the biggest income day of the year.  So many buy clubs happening it was insane.

Now, December 28 2018, wake up to see the MPQ was opted OUT of digital day.  This was a massive shock to many many people that bought coins ahead of time due to only being allowed to buy XXXX coins at a time with Amazon. This is also very concerning to a lot of people because this was a massive income day for the past 2 years for MPQ and now it will a lot less.  This year would have been less than 2016 and 2017, but now this could be 60% less than last year.  I am saying that because of seeing what is happening in the buy clubs and the reaction of people in general. Many are massively concerned now of what the future holds. I guess we will see soon enough.

    Any idea of why they opted out mpq? Perhaps due to some games rotation or such?

    @Brigby any info on that?

    Looking at the mobile offers as a whole it appears to be more of a Amazon decision than any developer decision

    Yeah there are barely any mobile gaming offers for whatever reason... it’s down dramatically across the board. Hard to paint this as an MPQ thing specifically.

    If anything, appears to be an Amazon issue. And if Amazon weren’t so opaque about what would be on sale in the first place, it would have prevented this.

    Well, if that’s the case and if it’s an error on amazon side, they perhaps correct this error during the day

    I don’t mean Amazon issue as in a technical glitch, I mean an issue related to their handling of the business side this year. Something changed with many mobile games in Digital Day, seems clear that Amazon is the common factor here. They probably changed the split or just didn’t want to lose as much money on this loss leader sale this year.

    With how nuts everyone went with buy clubs last digital day, I thought this was their equivalent and literal black friday.  Now it makes sense to why a lot of stuff felt monetized this year.
