So as we always get 10 new MPs every set but we never seem to have a topic about which ones we would like to see, like I said there are so many strong cards wouldn’t even know where to begin looking for the best ones, but what do you guys think.

I would love to see the Praetors from New Phyrexia.  All of them should be fairly simple to port over but they would still be really powerful.

Urabrask (red):  Your creatures have haste.  When a creature enters the battlefield under your opponent's control it is disabled.

Sheoldred (black):  At the start of your opponent's turn, they lose a creature reinforcement.  If they can't, destroy the last creature they control.  At the start of your turn return the first creature in your graveyard to the field.

Veronclex (green):  All of your mana bonuses are increased by 1.  All of your opponent's mana bonuses are decreased by 1.

Elesh-Norn (white):  All of your creatures get +3/+3.  All of your opponent's creatures get -3/-3

Jin-Glitaxias (blue):  At the end of your turn draw 6 cards.  At the end of your opponent's turn they discard their hand.

We had a post about what cards we wanted for Masterpieces back before M19. What we want is irrelavant. We want a working game and we still dont have that so...

They pull them from the latest Masters set, so the Praetors would be cool, but weren't in Ultimate Masters :/

Some ideas based off cards in that set:

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed: Whenever an unbuffed creature you control dies, return that creature to play with all its reinforcements and give it +1/+1

Reya Dawnbringer: At the beginning of your turn, return the first creature in your graveyard to the battlefield.

Anger: If this creature is in your graveyard, all your creatures have haste.

Laboratory Maniac: At the beginning of your turn, if your graveyard has 40 or more cards in it, deal damage to your opponent equal to the number of cards in your graveyard.

Leovold, Emmisary of Trest: Your opponent can't draw more than 1 card per turn. Whenever a creature you control becomes the target of a spell, draw a card.

Kozilek, Butcher of Truth: When you cast this card, draw 4 cards. When this creature attacks, your opponent's first creature gets -4/-4, if your opponent has no creatures, destroy a support your opponent controls.

Seismic Assault: Whenever you exile a card from your hand, deal 4 damage to your opponent.

Reanimate: Return the first creature from your graveyard to play. You lose life equal to its casting cost.

Ah come on.  Have a little fun here.  Obviously this is not the top priority now.  But lets take a break from all the bug kvetching and think up some fun new toys to play with for next year!

OOOH right! I forgot the most recent crop came from the guild kits. Your list would make more sense.

I would also think that Supreme Verdict, Merciliess Eviction, Sphinx's Revelation, Havoc Festival, Immortal Servitude, and Skaarg the Rage Pits could also all be contenders for inclusions in the masterpiece slots if not just the guild kits.

    Holy cow these are imbalanced.

Unbalanced how?  Sure they're strong, but certainly not out of line for a Masterpiece.  And they wouldn't exactly be chap to cast (Jin costs 10 in paper, Elesh and Sheoldred cost 7, Vorinclex costs 8, and Urabrask costs 5).  In PQ they would all cost 18-26 probably.

Jin-Glitaxias is the only one that stands out to me as definitely too strong, regardless of casting cost. In paper, by the time you get Jin-Glitaxias into play there's a good chance your opponent already has enough mana on the board to be able to cast whatever card they topdeck each turn. Mana gains in PQ aren't cumulative the way playing a bunch of lands in paper is - it's just based on available matches, which means you're generally not any more likely to be able to play a card the same turn you draw it late in the game than you are early in the game. Discard's an extremely strong strategy in PQ for that reason, but you can usually get ahead of it a bit with some extra card draw (which most PWs have in some form and is pretty easy to come by in PQ in any case). Jin would just eat all that and single-handedly shut down most decks.

Yeah but it's blue, so that makes it okay.
