Sorin

So can we change Sorin first to include reinforcements as well. It would take him from zero to hero. We don’t need to change anything else just that and I would think he starts showing up in a lot of different events.

He would running berzerk with multitudes and decree.

I think he already has a very solid card pool yet and only would change his life total. 82 is a little less.

I would, for starters, actually be happy if they finally would manage to stop AI from using Sorin's first ability, without having a creature on the board.

Ok then how about you lower the mana to two per creature and count reinenforcements. I mean there’s no getting around it his first sucks in current meta. I mean J2s first is a very similar ability and no one has every complained about that.

Sorin doesnt suck. He's just more PvE oriented than PvP. His abilities are fine and quite powerful in the hands of the player rather than Greg.

Changing Greg's behavior to not use his first when he has no creatures in play is the only change Sorin requires.

My issue with Sorin is that his Ult gives +4/+0.  Not getting that toughness makes a huge difference against pingy bosses like Avacyn.  Otherwise he is a lot of fun to abuse (but pretty easy to stop too)

He works well with First-Strikers though, especially if you can talk them into Defending or being Vigilant... ;)

Sorin was my first Planewalker that won for me against high level opponents in PVE events.

    This.

I don't use him often in pvp since he gets easily overrun.. But for pve, where you know what's coming, he's a great choice that scales up nicely to get down even the biggest bosses

Yeah Sorin is a powerful planeswalker, and probably the only planeswalker we are going to see for a while still that can rock black/white with color restrictions

She's on the play mat for the RNA Pro Tour and wasn't in the Planeswalker Decks from RNA, leaving her to be available in RNA.

When you say, 'scales up', do you mean buffs his creatures? In which case, doesn't Jace 2 just leave him in the dust in that respect?
Not necessarily.  You can only draw so many cards in one turn.  But you can get off dozens of lifegain triggers each turn if you set up your deck right.

If his buff was +4/+4 like Jace's it would be the strongest ability in the game.  At +4/+0 its still really good but leaves your creatures very vulnerable

I can draw more cards than triggering lifegain...but yeah, that's what I was referring to, maybe a bit incomplete - sorin with lifegain allows to mostly ignore the enemys boardstate unless the ai generates more than 82 damage. with three lifegain creatures  sorin can recover to full health every turn. That allowed me to beat tezzeret for example, by just outracing him.

Hint:  Use cards that just give 1 life when a trigger is met.  In my old Sorin deck I get 2-4 lifegain triggers every time I play a card, and then more when my creatures attack.  Easily racks up +40/+0 on each creature every turn.

Back when it was released sorin was a powerhorse. He had access to black removal, white creatures, deploy, fun gen changers like his bfz dual land... He was fun.

Nowadays I rarely if ever use him for training grounds and other irrelevant events.

It is confirmed that the three RNA walkers are dovin, kaya and domri. So expect bw, Uw and GR in the upcoming set.
Who knows maybe we actually get a controlling bw walker with kaya. That would be fun.

So just for the record, everyone thinks sorin first is a good ability or at least doesn’t think it should be changed?

Not necessarily confirmed. Dovin and Domri were the Planeswalker Deck walkers. They may not be released in the actual set. I'd be shocked if they weren't but it's possible.
